Quotable Contest

So I've been thinking about what I should make that's a good tie-in for the Rhea series. I've considered water bottles, unique keychains, posters and more. Some ideas are fun in theory, but who really wants a poster?

I thought and I thought, wondering, "What would people like to win?"

Then it hit me.

If you're anything like me, you're a sucker for notebooks and journals. Who can't use an extra one of those? I have sooooo many, but I will compulsively buy more if I like the look. So I'm going to make some Rhea Jensen journals :)

This brings me to my current contest, and this is how it rolls:

This post is devoted solely to celebration. In truth, writers probably don't celebrate enough--always focusing on the next hurdle.

Well, SCREW THAT! I'm stoked. The current incarnation of a book I have been working on for YEARS (which has undergone such massive overhauls so as to be completely unrecognizable from its predecessors) just won 1st Place at the League of Utah Writers' Annual Roundup. And since I entered the contest with the hope and desire to win 1st place, how can I do anything but celebrate?

Rock. On. In the world of Sheralyn Pratt, September 18, 2010 was a day of good fortune. I spent the day signing at B&N with other phenomenal authors, ran to the award ceremony, and WON!

Yes, I understand that no one is as excited as I am. That follows logic, but I just want to make it very clear that I haven't been this pumped for a while.

So, thank you, League of Utah Writers. Your award couldn't have fallen into more giddy hands :)

A MONTH OF GIVEAWAYS

As a count down to the book launch of City of Angels, I have teamed up with other authors to give away a book a month on this site! (Check out the PRIZES tab!) Some of the giveaways are sponsored by me, and if so, I will specify that. Otherwise, you are getting the rare treat of having the book sent to you directly from the author so that they can personalize it anyway you like! Get great books for yourself or as a present EVERY DAY starting May 10th and ending on June 7th, the launch date of the City of Angels.
