I don't know who is more excited to see the cover for Book 5, you or me.
Probably me. ;)
But either way, I'm excited to share the joy with you now by revealing the cover to UnPleasant Grove.
To those of you who were eager to read it with a paper bag cover, I applaud you, but you've got to admit that it's way cooler with the cover, right?
Can't wait to get it into your paws.
The cover is Genius!! Perfect, really - can't wait to get my own copy and a few for fellow fans (i.e. my sisters and sister-in-law) :D.
ReplyDeleteYou are clearly a very, very nice sister :)
DeleteThis cover is awesome! I'll admit that I actually let out a somewhat uncharacteristic squeal of excitement when I saw it! I'm just so glad that this is coming out before I head on my mission! (This will officially be the last fun book I read before I go) =)
ReplyDelete*grin* I'm honored to have the privilege of being the last "fun" book you read. Hope you enjoy the ride!!!
DeleteWell "fun" is of course relative =)
DeleteAnd the book was indeed awesome! (Meaning yes I loved it!)
I just discovered you, and read the first 4 available novels in a 3.5 day glorious glut! So crazy-good! I logged on to find out when your next is due, and learned with rapture there are actually TWO I haven't read! I will obtain them immediately! (How do we order the e-books? I want to carry mine around on my phone!)
ReplyDeleteNow, I really have to ask, can YOU actually tell a designer dress or suit on sight by designer name? For the life of me all I can really see in any clothing is fit and fabric. And I make all my own because I'm shaped weird. But I'm FANATIC about fit and fabric! (and after viewing the Acadamy Awards dresses this year, I know I could beat any of the designers hollow -- especially in modesty!)
Hi FairyGrandmother,
ReplyDeleteSo great to be discovered :)I indulge in literary gluttony myself, so it's nice to know I'm not alone!
As for how to obtain the ebooks, Kindle and Nook are the best sources, I would say. As for me recognizing designers, the succinct answer to your question is: no. The longer answer is that for a while Kay and I didn't get along for that simple fact. It is a strange experience to have a muse disgusted with your lack of knowledge in an area they are fanatical about. Rhea patiently shows me what she does with the assumption I've never seen it before, and then I have to go out and find what she's showing me.
Kay just rattles through stuff and then is appalled when I don't know who Alberta Ferretti is or something. Sometimes she storms off and won't talk to me for weeks when I get too many things wrong, and she doesn't come back until I figure out where I messed up and fix it.
I know, I know. It sounds insane to say all that. My characters shouldn't know more than I do, and yet... they absolutely do. One of the mysteries of life, I guess. :)
But Kay is also a fanatic about fit and fabric, so you two would probably get along very well!
I know I'm a few years late to the party, but is it really over? I picked up Stalk Lake City at a book exchange because the title made me laugh and I became completely addicted. I even read Kay'sville to my husband on a road trip (he got a lot of chuckles from the descriptions of attractive man muscles, but he was definitely interested in seeing how things played out). In conclusion, I finally finished Unpleasant Grove and I'm freaking out for Rhea and the fact that things may never be resolved with the Fours!! So is it over forever?
ReplyDeleteOne more, Lochs. One more... it'll be called Memory Lane and I'll let you know when I know when it will be out. :)
